The products of Siemens Large Drives are widely used in the areas of metallurgy, water/waste water, oil&gas, port, mining, power, shipbuilding, paper, rubber and plastic. And LD business in China is developing very fast due to booming market of manufacture. What do you think is the most potential area for Siemens Large Drives business, and how will you develop the business in other areas?
Roland Ehrl先生：Industries like wind power generation or shipbuilding are still at the beginning of their booming development, power generation in general will also see a boom within the next years. With our strong organization combining Siemens presence close to our customers, with deep product and application know how as well as strong local production we expect to further develop our business in these and other industries.
Providing the right state of the art products and systems and excellent services are of course essential to remain the key player in this market.

By providing wide range of products of AC&DC drives and motors and localized business operation including sales, services, logistics, Siemens Large Drives bring benefit to customer. Do you think if the comprehensive advantages of Siemens can ensure continuous market share increase of LD?
Roland Ehrl先生：In the past years the market share of Siemens Large Drives in China has steadily grown driven by a powerful organization. We for sure need continuous improvement in all areas from product range to logistics and services. Siemens is a company well known for innovation and customer focus and with these strengths we will be able to maintain our position as the leader in the Large Drives market in China.
With further development of China energy and metallurgy industries, there surely will be a lot more opportunities for Siemens Large Drives, and also much more challenges and competitions. Do you think whether Siemens Large Drives will have more opportunities and gain bigger market share? What strategies will Siemens Large Drives take to face these challenges and competitions?

《控制与传动》：西门子在去年推出了新的传动产品系列,并首先在国内推出了SINAMICS G 150低压单机传动变频调速柜, 在变频器市场上引起了客户的广泛关注，近期是否还有其他新产品即将推出？
Siemens launched last year a new drives series and launched in Chinese market the SINAMICS G150, which arouse much attention in the market. Will there be any other new products launched in the near future?
Roland Ehrl先生：SINAMICS is the name of the new A&D drives family which will, within the next years, replace the current drives series like MICROMASTER, MASTERDRIVES or SIMOVERT MV.
SINAMICS G150 is a hige performance low voltage drives converter cabinet for for all single drive applications like pump,fan,compressor,conveyer belt, mixture,extruder, refiner,centrifuge,crane, etc..
The chassis units SINAMICS G130 will be released to the market within the next few months. In the later time the low voltage system drives, SINAMICS S150 and S120 will follow.
SINAMICS 是西门子自动化与驱动集团的新的传动家族, 在未来的 几年, 它将取代现有的传动系列产品，如MICROMASTER, MASTERDRIVES 及 SIMOVERT MV。

Siemens has just finished the acquisition of Robicon recently, and it is widely believed that the acquisition will definitely enhance Siemens power in industrial drives area. How much do you think Siemens will be enhanced in the field of drives application? Besides, the acquisition will influence the market share in different industrial branches, what kind of influence will it be? Siemens medium voltage frequency converter has a different design to that of Robicon, and main application areas are different, how can they be best integrated into each other?
Roland Ehrl先生：With the acquisition of Robicon, Siemens has extended its product range and thus gained strength in the industrial drives market. In China Siemens has approximately doubled its market share in the medium voltage converter area. With the existing sales network of the former Robicon, we will be able to improve our market access to industries and customers who we could not approach successfully in the past.
We will also be able to use cross selling opportunities with the extended product range and sales channels

In order to best guarantee benefits of customers, Siemens Large Drives has strict control on product quality. Even the local produced products are in accordance with international standards, adopt to the updated development and technology of Siemens AG. This is the excellent local production ability of Siemens. How do you think Siemens should further develop the local production?
Roland Ehrl先生：It has been our strategy for many years to increase the product scope in our local production. With this policy we have been able to supply the German developed design and technology out of a Chinese production for the Chinese market. The Siemens Large Drives joint venture SEDL in Tianjin is the only company in China which can provide complete low voltage and medium voltage drives systems out of one factory.
We will continue with the localization of our products in the future to keep pace with the changing demand from the market and to provide the latest technology developed by Siemens made in China.
To support this localization Siemens is investing several 10s of millions Euro to build up a new factory for SEDL in Tianjin. In this new factory the manufacturing and office area will increase from 15,000 sqm at the current location to more than 50,000 sqm.The investment will provide better facilities for further localization of Siemens large drives.
